Facilities Manager

GE Vernova is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Facilities Manager to lead the facilities management team at their Advanced Research Center. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility performance and minimize downtime
Manage facilities budgets, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
Support campus mater planning activities setting up the future vision of the ARC
Lead elements of campus planning from concept through construction hand-off
Manage enabling research projects from conception to completion, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including researchers, engineers, and other facilities team members, to ensure project deliverables meet requirements and expectations
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local ordinances
Supervise and mentor a team of facilities professionals, including maintenance technicians, engineers, and administrative staff
Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer satisfaction
Develop and implement long-term facilities plans, including master planning, space planning, and infrastructure development
Collaborate with senior leadership to align facilities strategies with business objectives and goals
Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings, energy efficiency, and sustainability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of experience OR 15+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial facilities management, including 5 years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record of managing complex facilities, including maintenance, repair, and operations
Experience with project management, including capital projects and construction management
Demonstrated ability to guide building or campus development, including partnerships with general contractors, trade contractors, and governmental agencies

Preferred

Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, including maintenance, repair, and operations
Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
Strong EHS knowledge, including OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
