Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineering, design and research teams to define and document user stories and use-cases to guide product development
Define and execute product roadmap and prioritize features for Access Management
Collaborate with product marketing and developer relations to support the creation of messaging and content and enable the sales team
Conduct research and analysis to identify customer needs and pain points, and use this information to inform innovation, product decisions and prioritization
Develop, research, and clearly communicate product strategies across different levels of stakeholders and leadership chain
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including engineering, field teams, tech partnerships, and marketing, to ensure the successful launch and adoption of Okta integrations
Define and communicate product requirements, including features, user experience, and technical specifications, to engineering teams
Leverage product data to continually get smarter about how to improve our existing products, and work across the business to drive adoption and success
Track industry trends and think strategically to develop solutions that are differentiated from the competition
Be the subject matter expert for your product area and help enable your counterparts in the core product, Marketing, and tech partnerships teams
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Technical Product Management experience in enterprise scale SaaS products, Identity and Access management or comparable relevant experience
Experience building or product managing the feature areas for enterprise platform ecosystems/services
Experience developing, socializing, and driving strategies spanning multiple parts of an organization. Track record of owning and delivering on large strategic projects - you can see the big picture, but deliver on the details
Strong communication (presentation, verbal and written) and collaboration skills. You easily work with customers and colleagues across different functions and backgrounds
Demonstrated business results from products, features or capabilities you have shipped
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You can produce solid action plans from often incomplete, conflicting or ambiguous inputs
Passion for Okta's huge opportunity and growth potential, and general thirst for learning with an ability to go broad and deep across business and technical contexts
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or technical degree that allows you to rationalize and influence technical design decisions
Functional leadership experience, MBA, or equivalent experience
This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data. As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire
This person must attend in person orientation in San Francisco the first Tuesday of employment
Preferred
Familiarity with Identity and Access management protocols and products
Advanced degree in technical or business field
Experience across the product management lifecycle for enterprise products or services, integration considerations surfaced in the user experience in particular
Experience with creating requirements for security focused customer
