Technical Application Support Analyst

The Technical Application Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring the reliability and usability of enterprise applications through advanced support, configuration, and troubleshooting while collaborating with various teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical support resource for assigned enterprise applications
Diagnose and resolve application-level issues related to configuration, workflows, permissions, and integrations
Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring incidents
Escalate issues to developers or vendors only when truly necessary, with clear technical context and documentation
Perform system setup, configuration, and maintenance within supported applications
Validate workflows, business rules, and automation logic align with operational requirements
Manage user access, roles, and permissions according to defined standards
Support environment readiness during upgrades, releases, and system changes
Partner closely with the Data Steward to enforce data standards and consistency
Identify data integrity issues and work to correct them at the source
Assist in validating integrations, imports, and data synchronization across systems
Support audits, reconciliations, and exception analysis related to system data
Maintain working knowledge of how systems integrate and exchange data
Assist in troubleshooting integration failures or data mismatches
Validate upstream and downstream impacts when configuration or workflow changes are proposed
Support testing and validation during system changes or new integrations
Support system onboarding activities related to acquisitions or new operational units
Assist in documenting system configurations, workflows, and known issues
Help standardize processes and configurations across business units where appropriate
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen system stability
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of enterprise business applications (billing, ERP, CRM, FSM, or similar systems)
Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues without direct code changes
Experience with system configuration, workflow setup, and user administration
Working knowledge of integrations, APIs, and data flows between systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate business issues into technical problem statements
Comfortable working with business users, IS teams, and vendors
Strong documentation and communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and process-focused
Bachelor's degree in related field
Preferred
Experience in telecommunications, utilities, or subscription-based businesses
Familiarity with OSS/BSS, ERP, or field service platforms
Exposure to data governance or data quality initiatives
Experience supporting systems during mergers, acquisitions, or rapid growth
