Responsibilities

Work on state-of-the-art projects, implementing, modifying and maintaining process designs
Assist with the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Model and simulate complex processes, ensuring proper sequencing for unit operations
Develop process specifications
Direct activities ensuring that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
Establish process design basis, develop process options and optimizations of selected design, and calculate and organize data for process flow sheets

Required

Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Chemical Engineering or closely related field
familiarity with programs such as AutoCAD ASPEN-HYSYS, PipeFlo(Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and SmartPlant (via coursework, internships or other learning paths)

Preferred

Working knowledge of ASPEN-HYSYS, PipeFlo(Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and SmartPlant preferred
Previous internship with a design engineering/ consulting company focused on Chemical Process Engineering
