The Senior Manager of AI Platform Engineering will lead the team responsible for building, scaling, and operating systems that support the entire machine learning lifecycle, defining the ML platform roadmap, guiding engineering execution, and ensuring secure and scalable model development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities
Develop and own the AI/ML platform roadmap, including data and feature engineering, training infrastructure, experimentation tooling, model deployment, monitoring, and governance
Define architecture and standards for scalable and secure AI system operations
Assess technologies and consolidate tools to improve ML toolchain consistency
Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Sales-Enablement teams to develop AI infrastructure
Lead design and operation of the end-to-end ML lifecycle: data ingestion, feature engineering, experimentation, training, model registry, deployment, and monitoring
Partner with Data Science to enable fast, reproducible experimentation and reduce operational friction
Ensure platform reliability, traceability, observability, and performance for batch and real-time workloads
Guide the team to deliver high-quality platform capabilities on schedule with strong technical rigor
Remove cross-team bottlenecks and align dependencies for seamless execution across Data, Infrastructure, and Product teams
Establish SLAs, operational standards, and production-readiness guidelines for ML pipelines and serving systems
Implement best practices for model versioning, auditability, lineage tracking, data governance, and security controls
Collaborate with Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance teams to meet regulatory expectations and support responsible AI usage
Oversee model certification, performance monitoring, and lifecycle management processes
Lead, mentor, and grow senior and junior engineers across ML infrastructure, MLOps, and distributed systems
Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Recruit top engineering talent and support career development through coaching and feedback
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional software engineering experience building or operating large-scale ML, data, or distributed systems platforms
3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing multiple teams or engineering managers
Strong technical background in ML infrastructure, data engineering, and/or cloud-native distributed systems
Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional platform initiatives
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments using modern development practices
Preferred
Experience with ML lifecycle tooling such as Spark, Ray, Kubeflow, MLflow, Chalk, Feast, Airflow
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, Azure, Sagemaker, Kubernetes
Knowledge of model governance, drift detection, compliance frameworks, or regulated data environments
Background in fintech, identity verification, fraud prevention, or high-stakes ML domains
