Responsibilities
Develop virtual micro-learning training videos and learning modules for internal staff using e-learning tools such as iSpring
Create training materials focused on technical skill development and internal learning needs
Support the development of learning-related content for email, newsletter, and SharePoint communications in collaboration with the Communications team
Collaborate with Communications staff to ensure learning content aligns with departmental messaging and branding standards
Build and maintain a Learning and Internal Development calendar mapping trainings, events, and learning opportunities across a full calendar year
Support the organization and presentation of LID learning resources and services within existing digital platforms
Collaborate with staff across multiple Planning and Development divisions to support learning initiatives
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and in good academic standing
Basic understanding of training and professional development concepts
Familiarity with instructional design principles or learning models (e.g., ADDIE), coursework acceptable
Skill in written and verbal communication
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other digital tools effectively
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Preferred
Preferred fields of study include Training and Development, Instructional Design, Communications, Digital Marketing, Public Administration, City and Regional Planning, or related disciplines
