Product Development Coordinator (License)

Children’s Apparel Network (CAN) is a premier resource for a wide variety of children’s clothing, offering everything from private label to character licenses and national brands. They are seeking a Product Development Coordinator to support the licensed apparel division, managing the development process from concept through pre-production while ensuring alignment with brand standards and timelines.

Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end product development process across boys, girls and/or baby licensed apparel categories
Manage daily communication with overseas vendors in review of lab dips, strike-offs, fabric qualities, trims and pre-production samples; track and follow up on submissions to meet calendar deadlines
Review artwork and branding to ensure alignment with tech pack specifications
Responsible for owning development; review all submissions in a timely manner while ensuring quality and product integrity align with internal standards, buyer standards and licensor guidelines
Coordinate with licensors including Disney, Marvel, Nickelodeon, Sanrio and more to secure necessary approvals through the Licensing team
Collaborate with Design and Technical Design teams to ensure accuracy of design intent, artwork placement, branding and garment construction
Partner with Sourcing, Production and Sales to maintain development milestones and proactively flag potential delays or issues

Required

Degree in Fashion/Product Development and/or minimum three years of relevant apparel industry experience
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with product development processes and the ability to provide creative solutions for design and production challenges
Able to take initiative and work independently while also contributing positively to team dynamics and shared goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor and cross-functional team interaction
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); PLM experience a plus
