Responsibilities
Lead design and engineering of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial facilities
Oversee load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts
Ensure compliance with IBC, IMC, IECC, and local codes
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and construction teams
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
Support value engineering and problem-solving during preconstruction and construction phases
Participate in client meetings and represent the mechanical discipline
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
Strong experience designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings (office, healthcare, industrial, education, etc.)
Proficiency in industry software (AutoCAD, Revit, load calculation tools)
Solid understanding of energy codes and high-efficiency system design
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Preferred
PE license preferred (or ability to obtain in Colorado)
