Project Safety Coordinator
Intuitive Safety Solutions (ISS) is seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator to support a heavy civil infrastructure project in Oxbow, Oregon. This role involves providing hands-on safety leadership and field-level risk management support in a dynamic construction environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as an ISS safety consultant supporting the client’s project safety program and operational objectives
Interface professionally with client representatives, project leadership, contractors, and trade partners to reinforce safety expectations and risk mitigation strategies
Represent ISS with professionalism and credibility in all fields and stakeholder interactions
Provide daily onsite safety coordination and proactive engagement with field teams
Perform safety observations, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and drive corrective actions
Support project teams in developing practical, field-ready solutions to manage risk
Assist with the implementation and execution of project safety programs aligned with regulatory and client-specific requirements
Support interpretation of OSHA standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Participate in risk assessments and hazard analysis activities
Support incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
Assist with the development and tracking of corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned integration
Assist with site safety orientations and ongoing safety training initiatives
Maintain accurate safety documentation and support reporting requirements
Ensure safety records and compliance tracking are maintained in required systems
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience supporting field operations
OSHA 30 Construction certification required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in client-facing consulting roles or multi-employer construction environments
Strong working knowledge of construction safety regulations and risk management practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
Ability to pass required drug screening and background check
Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
OSHA 30 outreach construction card and/or safety certification from an accredited organizations (i.e. BCSP, IHMM, etc.)
Heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial, or high-risk construction experience
Experience supporting remote project environments
