Responsibilities
The Materiel Section is comprised of Operations, Inspections, and Stockpile Management Elements. Manages allocations, stock levels, inventories, requisitions, and disposition of munitions. Manage excess serviceable/unserviceable munitions program. Coordinate scheduling of complete, custody, special munitions inventories and compiles inventory adjustment packages as required. Establish and maintain an effective munitions inspection program for all munitions assets to include receipt, inspection, stockpile surveillance and preservation, marking and packaging, and shipping requirements. Manage warehouse munitions stockpiles, maintain storage area infrastructure and facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure mission support. Store bulk stock and operationally configured or built-up munitions. Process munitions movement transactions
Production Section is comprised of Conventional Maintenance, Line-Delivery, Munitions Materiel Handling Equipment and may involve Missile Maintenance. May perform the following depending on assignment to MAF, CAF, Intel, or RPA units without Aircraft: Assembles/Disassembles, adjusts configuration, performs maintenance/tests & repairs, handles and transports ammunition, decoys, countermeasures to include LUU series flares and dispensers, rocket, unguided and guided weapons and countermeasures, demolition material, and other types of conventional ordnance such as 40MM, Cluster Bomb Units (CBU), Guided Bomb Units (GBU), general purpose bombs, aircraft canon ammunition, missile systems, for loading on aircraft based on Unit Committed Munitions List (UCML) and Wings training requirements. Independently troubleshoots electrical/mechanical faults of integrated systems by thoroughly analyzing operating trends. Perform Pre/Post Flight inspection and flight line return inspections. Assigns Weapon Stock Number (WSN) and records builds and teardowns of complete rounds in the accountable property system of record (APSR)
Systems Section is comprised of Munitions Control, Combat Plans, Mobility & Training and Plans & Scheduling Elements. Coordinates with various sections to ensure the effective flow of information, scheduling, and use of available resources. Manage Nuclear Certified Equipment Program as applicable. Develops, maintains, coordinates, and integrates Emergency Action Checklists with outside agencies. Assists with the management of the key and high security lock program. Processes munitions transactions, creates, and tracks work-orders in the appropriate automated system. Maintains maps showing the entire storage area, primary and alternate explosives routes, and sited explosives locations. Administers combat plans and mobility packages. Executes and coordinates training schedules, including Combat Munitions Training (CMT) for fulltime staff and traditional guardsman
Complies with safety and security requirements. Complies with all Federal, State, DOD, USAF, and local regulations concerning hazardous materials/waste munitions assets. Maintains hazardous waste and material according to applicable directives. Coordinates movement of hazardous materiel munitions or related assets through the Traffic Management Office
Performs other duties as assigned

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in military assignment in WV's National Guard, and is required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform

Experience or training which has provided the candidate with the knowledge and application of mechanical and electrical principles and the skill to perform intricate repair and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic components and devices
Experience or training in repairing, rebuilding, modifying, and testing a variety of major subassemblies
Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components
Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment
Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials
