Director of Informatic Applications
Healthcare IS is focused on supporting IT strategic initiatives for clinical, business, and operational systems. The Director of Informatic Applications will be responsible for application planning, design, and architecture to ensure reliable and integrated systems, while also leading efforts to align IT capacity with strategic demand.

Responsibilities
Supports IT strategic initiatives for clinical, business, and operational systems in a cost-effective, high-quality manner
Responsible for application planning, design, and architecture to ensure highly reliable, integrated systems
Provides application expertise and resources required for ongoing operational improvements, implementations, and support
Ensures the successful installation, utilization, and ongoing support of software across organizational initiatives
Contributes to the IT strategic plan, ensuring alignment with evolving market conditions and organizational clinical, financial, and regulatory requirements
Provides leadership and coordination with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, clinics, and other eligible IT service recipients to ensure alignment between operational needs and enterprise strategic initiatives
Maintains, supports, and upgrades existing applications
Participates in and/or leads IT Governance activities to ensure IT capacity aligns with strategic demand
Plans, coordinates, and oversees activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems and software applications
Promotes application standardization wherever feasible
Maintains application portfolio oversight and system documentation standards
Collaborates with IT and organizational leadership to streamline and reduce redundant local applications
Ensures tactical plans align with and support overall organizational strategies and initiatives
Identifies opportunities for further standardization and assists in implementing cost-efficiency initiatives
Fosters a customer-focused approach in the delivery of application-related products and services
Ensures original design principles are preserved while continuously enhancing information systems and applications
Serves as the final decision authority on IT-related strategic and technical matters affecting the application services environment
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of experience in a healthcare applications role supporting clinical, financial, and/or regulatory systems, including selection, implementation, and lifecycle support
Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare application vendors and products required
Strong experience in strategic information systems planning and implementation required
Experience supporting information system business and/or clinical workflows across acute, sub-acute, outpatient, and clinic environments required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field required
Preferred
Master's degree
