Responsibilities
Gain hands-on project experience by providing support to construction administrators on assigned projects, with the opportunity to lead a small project with guidance
Perform site visits for diverse construction projects to observe field conditions, collect information, and help respond to any field questions that may arise
Participate in full implementation of construction projects by assisting construction administrators with the review and processing of change orders, submittals, request for information, process payments, and other related items
Build interpersonal skills with internal and external staff by participating in encroachment and environmental permit reviews
Apply construction and engineering principles and gain understanding of how designs translate into completed projects by supporting constructability and as-built drawing reviews, as well as resolving field issues
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and current enrollment or a recent graduate of an accredited college, university, or educational institution with major coursework in civil/environmental engineering, construction engineering, construction management and/or related fields
Solutions-focused and a creative problem-solver
A motivated self-starter with effective interpersonal and technical skills
An organized and results-driven team player
Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to read, understand, and summarize scientific research journal papers in at least one of the fields listed in the job posting
Effective verbal and written communication
Project management skills
