Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Responsibilities
Directing the activities of design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler systems
Designing special hazards suppression systems
Calculating fire pumps
Developing fire alarm and mass notification systems
Conducting building/life safety codes analysis
Providing support to teams on critical projects
Fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion
Collaborating with diverse teams on challenging projects
Utilizing relevant computer-assisted engineering software
Collecting data for fire protection engineering projects
Working alongside professional engineers and designers
Gaining exposure to project coordination
Encouraging creativity and fresh ideas from team members
Traveling to job sites around the world as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or anything related
At least 10 years of related experience
United States Citizenship
Preferred
Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards
Willingness to travel to jobs sites around the world (estimate around 10-15% travel)
Experience in fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm system layout utilizing hydraulic calculation programs, and knowledge of NFPA Codes, and International Building and Fire Codes
PE in any US State, having passed the fire protection engineering examination
