This role will primarily be responsible for handling repairs on new and refurbished trailers, including diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and completing documentation of work orders.

Responsibilities
The Trailer Upfitting Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets within the Company
As a Trailer Upfitting Technician, you will assist with diagnosing and detailed inspections of complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software
You will complete thorough documentation of work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system
You will install trailer refrigeration, heating units, and external graphics as well as perform basic welding, metal cutting, and installation of hydraulic liftgate components
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
Preferred
Technical School Certification
