Responsibilities
Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineering staff
Work through an Agile-based full-cycle development that includes requirements analysis, design, & implementation
Apply software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts
Understands and adheres to project schedules and stays within established budgets
Efficiently diagnose and debug front-end and back-end software issues
Clearly and effectively communicate problems and solutions with the team and external stakeholders, both verbally and electronically
Plans, conduct, technically directs and evaluates software projects across and agile development cycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 10 years applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience
Minimum 10 years software engineering experience at increasingly complex levels
Strong object-oriented programming expertise
Strong expertise with Angular and Java Spring Boot desired
Experience with containerization of applications
Experience in Linux shell scripting
Experience in cloud-based infrastructures and environments
Agile development process and planning tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Strong understanding of modern software repository applications, branching schemas, and deployment concepts
Preferred
Strong understanding and application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts across the software development environment
Experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration
Experience with back-end development, including node.js, web servers (Nginx, Apache, etc.), database servers, etc
Secure web-based development
Database design and modern data storage and retrieval schemas
Understanding of the DoD cyber training mission is preferred
