Responsibilities
Develop new product parts, assemblies, drawings, and specifications
Evaluate and recommend design specifications to ensure technical and functional compliance
Review proposed product changes and analyze feasibility, function, and quality
Manage prototype development, testing, and validation
Facilitate creation, approval, and implementation of engineering drawing changes
Recommend and implement efficient, reliable, and cost-effective procedures
Prepare test reports for internal use and publication
Work independently on moderately complex product lines
Collaborate with engineering staff to meet project milestones and timelines
Provide technical support to field sales teams
Qualification
Required
BSEE or equivalent degree
5–10 years of electrical engineering experience
Experience in product design and development
Proficiency with 3D modeling software
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience in electric utility product lines
Background in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with SolidWorks or ProE for 3D modeling
