This role focuses on Fortinet technologies, data center networking, and microsegmentation, supporting various network initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities
Serve as a senior, hands-on engineer supporting data center and enterprise network initiatives
Lead and execute network microsegmentation projects, including audits, reporting, and optimization
Administer, configure, and manage Fortinet technologies at scale, including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
Support Cloudflare integrations and help expand traffic routing through Cloudflare services
Act as an escalation point for the Help Desk, handling complex networking and data center issues
Own Fortinet migrations end-to-end for newly acquired locations
Support and execute Go Live projects, including hardware deployment, SD-WAN configuration, policy deployment, and validation
Support IT refresh initiatives, replacing legacy FortiGate hardware with newer models
Assist with TTU (new internet circuit) projects, including testing, SD-WAN policy application, and documentation
Collaborate with a third-party network engineering partner while bringing more work in-house
Participate in limited data center travel (approximately 2–3 trips per year)
Follow established change control processes and contribute to documentation and standardization
Qualification
Required
A minimum 5 years of professional experience with Fortinet FortiGate and related Fortinet technologies
Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
Data center networking experience
Experience with microsegmentation and network security design
Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP) and large-scale network subnetting
Cloud networking experience
Experience supporting load balancers
VMware experience
Ability to operate independently in a low-ticket-volume, escalation-focused role
