Responsibilities
Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students
Provide direct instruction, monitor, and report student progress regarding behavior and performance
Assist students in developing various self-help, behavior, social and community skills
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school
At least two years experience, paid or voluntary, working with children/individuals with disabilities
Possession of an Associate's degree or higher, or at least 48 college semester units, or pass the (ESSA) Every Student Succeeds Act exam
SCOE Para Proficiency certificate OR one of the following: NCLB/ESSA certificate, CBEST, or transcripts showing minimum 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher was awarded
