Scrum Master, Capital Markets Initiatives
Business Integration Partners (BIP) is Europe’s fastest growing digital consulting company, actively expanding its presence in the United States with a focus on Capital Markets and Financial Services. The Scrum Master will lead Agile delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring effective collaboration and reporting while managing complex stakeholder relationships and utilizing deep Jira expertise.
Responsibilities
Lead daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release/change planning across multiple parallel workstreams
Support the restructuring of large technology groups into smaller, self-organizing Agile teams, ensuring predictability and delivery cadence
Enforce consistent definitions of Ready/Done, prioritization rules, and acceptance-criteria quality across engineering teams
Identify and unblock delivery risks, bottlenecks, and cross-team dependencies
Serve as the primary Jira SME
Design and maintain Jira hierarchy structures to support clear traceability
Build dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility. Including ticket aging, throughput, predictability, sprint load, capacity, and risk
Partner with PMO to adhere to common operating-model constraints, request new fields, and ensure instance-wide consistency
Analyze the current fragmented operating model and design a future-state model for intake, triage, and prioritization
Establish a funnel-based intake model separating work into: Projects (structured, multi-ticket initiatives requiring discovery), Small Enhancements, BAU / Run-State Tasks
Drive governance ceremonies and play a central role in driving cultural adoption of the new model
Roll up BAU and enhancement impacts to senior leaders, highlighting capacity constraints, trade-offs, and material impacts on strategic work
Own and manage a high-volume backlog with competing priorities across business and engineering teams
Rationalize, sequence, and de-duplicate tickets, aggregate related items into projects where appropriate
Define SLAs for BAU categories and maintain transparent visibility into run-state workloads across teams
Partner with business and engineering SMEs to document decisions, next steps, and resolution paths after technical deep-dive meetings
Coordinate with Front Office (FO) users, Data Engineering, Risk Reporting, Reference Data, among other Operations stakeholders
Operate with a high-touch communication style for FO-facing work, ensuring clarity, crisp updates, and proactive issue escalation
Facilitate productive working sessions among SMEs, engineers, and leadership - driving toward decisions versus open-ended discussions
Roll up insights and reporting for senior leaders to articulate impact, risk, and throughput
Maintain a strong conceptual understanding of core asset-management data domains to effectively coordinate delivery across business and engineering teams. This includes: Front Office datasets (portfolios, trades, orders, performance, risk outputs), Operational / master / reference data (security master, product/fund/entity hierarchies, positions, pricing, and transactional flows), Private Equity data structures (funds, capital accounts, portfolio-company reporting, valuations)
