Microbiology Environmental Monitoring Intern

The Ritedose Corporation is seeking a Microbiology Intern to support their Environmental Monitoring program within a regulated Microbiology laboratory. This internship offers hands-on experience in microbiological testing and laboratory operations, allowing the intern to develop technical skills while learning Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities

Participate in Environmental Monitoring activities within controlled environments
Assist with microbiological testing, including microbial identification
Support sterility testing activities (Sterility 6-S)
Collect water samples for microbiological analysis
Assist with activities related to the Contamination Control Strategy
Organize and maintain batch records in accordance with laboratory procedures
Perform data entry and assist with data review under supervision
Learn the importance of equipment calibration and laboratory compliance
Stock laboratory supplies and assist with inventory management
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of the Microbiology laboratory

Required

Candidate actively pursuing a 4 year degree in Microbiology or related scientific field from an accredited college or university
Coursework or experience in a general biology laboratory required
Ability to understand/follow all applicable standard operating procedures and cGMPs/cGLPs routinely
Demonstrated knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and procedures
Proficient with current word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
Ability to operate standard laboratory instrumentation
Strong interpersonal/group communication skills with the ability to influence others
Ability to participate in and contribute to a team-oriented work environment

Preferred

Microbiology laboratory experience
