Responsibilities

The Director spearheads the development of meaningful engagement strategies that treat community members as equal partners in public safety. This involves moving beyond traditional outreach for those most impacted by firearm violence, ensuring that local expertise and lived experiences inform the initiative’s strategic direction and build long-term institutional trust
The Director ensures that the initiative's operational framework is robust and capable of adapting to the evolving landscape of firearm violence and community safety needs. This involves a strategic evaluation of data-driven practices and research methodologies to identify and implement interventions that effectively reduce violent crime and support long-term prevention
The Director oversees the development and execution of various community and law enforcement engagements. This encompasses organizing public safety briefings, coordinating re-entry resource fairs, facilitating trauma-informed training sessions, and conducting multi-agency intelligence-sharing meetings to strengthen community partnerships and enhance the collective response to systemic violence
The Director’s role involves streamlining internal data collection processes and embracing technological advancements to enhance the analysis of crime trends. By identifying inefficiencies and implementing evidence-based solutions, the Director aims to improve workflow and operational effectiveness while leading a specialized team of research, re-entry, and community outreach experts
The Director's position is one that demands a strategic vision, exceptional leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to operational management.
