Health Informatics Analyst
Aptive Resources is seeking a highly skilled Health Informatics Analyst to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in optimizing operational programs and improving healthcare delivery to veterans. Responsibilities
Utilize analytical and workflow analysis techniques to plan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of health information technology solutions within the VHA healthcare setting
Extract and analyze source data to assess the effectiveness of programs and business processes, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods to derive actionable insights
Effectively manipulate data to present program status and performance metrics, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning
Make recommendations for improving business processes based on data-driven insights, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
Analyze Electronic Health Records (EHR) clinical workflows (e.g., surgical, primary care, dental, specialty care, pharmacy) and clinical data, in relation to EHR functionality to define new approaches that increase the quality of patient care, provider, and patient satisfaction
Demonstrate proficiency in SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices, driving value and sustaining organizational change through the empowerment of high-performing Agile teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in either Nursing, Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field with knowledge of direct patient care
Minimum of 10 years of experience in program analysis, data analysis, or informatics, with relevant experience in a Veterans Administration healthcare setting and/or relevant experience working with the Federal Electronic Health Record
Proficient in creating clinical workflow mapping and familiarity with BPMN+ notation
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey program status, provide recommendations, present and mitigate risks to stakeholders at all levels
Experience with SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices, with a demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and operational excellence through Agile methodologies
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred
Advanced degree in a clinical field (PA-C, FNP, etc)
Informatics Certification (NI-BC, CPHIMS)
Master Degree in Informatics, or Bioinformatics
Oracle Health (Cerner) experience
Experience with PharmNet
Experience with PowerPlans
Direct experience working within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration
