Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts for browser, mobile, and API-based applications
Create, maintain, and execute overall test plans, test strategies, and test cases aligned to business and technical requirements
Ensure accurate execution of test procedures, automated test suites, and regression cycles
Analyze business and functional requirements and develop test strategies that ensure full requirement traceability
Collaborate closely with Product Owners and development teams to define QA needs and develop project-specific QA test plans
Work cross-functionally with QA, DevOps, and development teams to support implementation, deployment, and release activities
Execute multiple types of testing, including:
Functional
Integration
System
Regression
Acceptance
Limited performance testing
Identify, document, and track defects with clear root cause analysis and resolution details
Identify testing dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts; proactively communicate concerns and mitigation plans
Plan and execute end-to-end system testing cycles in physical lab environments
Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build, test, and deployment workflows
Participate in trials of new infrastructure designs, tools, and services
Establish and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional and cross–business unit teams
Lead and coordinate QA-related project tasks, providing guidance and best practices to junior and mid-level QA engineers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong experience with Java and JUnit testing frameworks
Experience with Kafka and MQTT
Experience with containerized environments, including Docker, DevContainers, and Kubernetes
Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman
Experience working with databases such as: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
Proficiency working in Windows and Linux environments
Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred
