Mainframe Developer
New York Technology Partners is seeking a Sr. Mainframe Developer to develop and implement solutions for complex business challenges. The role involves preparing architecture documents, writing secure code, and collaborating with product teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement solutions to address complex business challenges, improving operational efficiency and enabling data-driven decisions
Prepare architecture and design documents for complex banking applications, ensuring design constraints translate into effective coding practices
Write secure, high-quality code that integrates with other highly efficient subsystems
Proactively think out-of-the-box, challenge conventional approaches, and contribute to operational efficiency
Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with Product Teams and stakeholders to break down complex requirements into design and development tasks
Qualification
Required
Expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, CICS, and DB2
Mandatory: Hands-on CICS Programming, including CICS Screen Programming
Mandatory: Coding experience in MQ Series and IMS DB
Strong hands-on coding and development experience
Familiarity with version control systems
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
Preferred
Experience/knowledge in building and maintaining new Test regions
Experience in Banking Compliance and Regulatory Platforms
