Responsibilities
Receive, verify, match, and process invoices, credits, and receiving documents
Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to inquiries from vendors as required
Reconcile checking account at month-end
Assist with general ledger entries for month-end closing
Provide excellent customer service to employees and outside vendors
Maintain updated vendor files as necessary
Possess some accounts receivable knowledge for further growth
Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable
Reconcile vendor statements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Two years of experience working in accounts payable vouching or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills
Some knowledge in both accounts receivable and collections is ideal for job growth and cross-training
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers, vendors, and customers
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with an emphasis on calculating figures and amounts
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Proven track record of being dependable and reliable with a desire to grow with the company
