Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive growth and expand market presence within assigned territories
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support long-term business success
Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities
Generate leads through cold calling, networking events, referrals, and marketing campaigns
Conduct clients need assessments, site visits, and deliver tailored solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Client Success, and Operations to ensure solution feasibility and scalability
Represent Certified Waste Solutions at industry events and targeted networking opportunities
Demonstrate a goal-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and a proven track record in performance-based environments
Track and report sales activity, pipeline progress, and goal attainment using CRM tools and regular updates to senior leadership
Contribute to a culture that values innovation, agility, and teamwork

Required

3-5 years of experience in business development and sales
Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., NetSuite) and Microsoft Office
Skilled in brand development through professional networks, associations, and social media
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experienced in delivering impactful presentations
Excellent organizational skills for planning outreach, client meetings, and goal tracking
Willingness to travel across the territory, including occasional overnight trips

Preferred

Industry experience in waste management or related fields preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
