ORION Electrical Manufacturing Engineer Senior/2nd shift Odd Work Week

Responsibilities
Plans and authors procedures for the Orion Spacecraft elements and provides floor support for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Performs various duties including creating and/or developing harness installation, thermal prep integration and component integration, manufacturing work instructions
Determines the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, and solves production problems during the build of mechanical/electrical integration and assemblies
Manages time effectively, with the ability to work independently with minimal oversite
Trouble shoot and correct anomalies with discrepant hardware
Effective communicator, routinely interfaces with program personnel and reports project status to leadership. This includes, but is not limited to, written shift tie ins on the weekend, to keep team informed on progress/issues from the weekend
Primarily will be supporting 2nd shift (4-10s Thursday-Sunday, 10hrs/day, approx. 1pm -11:30pm)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (Mechanical/Aerospace/ Electrical/Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred) and 3+ years of experience/or equivalent experience/combined education
Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude and contribute to a constructive workplace culture
Perform assigned duties with competence, reliability, and a focus on quality outcomes
Demonstrate punctuality by consistently arriving on time
Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes
Knowledge of Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFMA)
Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and providing technical feedback to engineering
Advanced Skills in the Microsoft Office software suite
Position is permanently located on-site at KSC, FL. Ability to travel as necessary
Availability to train on first shift for a period of time, then work 2nd shift. Expected to adjust their schedule accordingly to support off nominal shift activities if needed
Preferred
Experience with Engineering Change Management
Minimum 1 year experience demonstrating use of SAP or similar ERP/MES software for generating manufacturing work instructions, routings, product structure, and manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM)
Experience and understanding of configuration management practices and databases such as Windchill, EPDM, or similar
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Creo Parametric, CreoView, EdgeCAM, Delmia
Experience with harness assembly, instrumentations, and electrical components (hardware) installations
