Program Manager

The Program Manager plays a critical leadership role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving Leadership Howard County’s flagship programs and community impact initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead design and execution of the 10-month Leadership Premier program
Coordinate planning and implementation of the LP program model, in partnership with the LP steering committee, session day committees, and President and CEO, to include: Inensive 2 day overnight retreat experience
On site lead for all monthly themed session days from September through June
Development and management of Learning Opportunities
Support volunteers in planning while serving as lead in agenda development, meeting coordination, note taking, follow up, outreach and coordination with additional stakeholders, and materials creation
Manage communications such as: session day calendar invitations, topic selection surveys, evaluations, thank you’s, payments (coordinate with staff accountant), needed follow-ups
Manage the solicitation, assessment and ranking of projects
Coordination of CIP planning committee
Support participant teams and volunteers
Advance impact evaluation methods
Capture lessons learned for future programming
Support the Program Coordinator in coordination and implementation of Leadership U programing, to include onsite assistance during 6-day summer week, bi-weekly session days, October Day of Service (3D-HC), and graduation
Work with Program Coordinator to align leadership competency framework across programs
Serve as the lead in design and management of assessment methodology and reporting
Analyze and synthesize program data for internal and external stakeholders
Translate insights into impact storytelling
Representing LHC at community events
Working collaboratively with staff, board, volunteers and participants
Assist with other activities as identified and requested by President and CEO
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 to 7+ years' relevant experience
Strong project management skills, PMP certification a plus
Experience with Microsoft suite products, familiarity with SalesForce a plus
Exceptional volunteer management skills and experience
Exceptional communication, event planning and logistical skills
Excellent time management and experience balancing multiple priorities effectively
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team
