Responsibilities
Serve as an administrative support resource for the Drafting Department and act as point of communication for drafting activity, job status, and order processing
Track drafting job progress, monitor order status updates, and communicate timelines to drafters, group leaders, and the Drafting Manager
Maintain and organize the department’s job reference files, including pulling, scanning, uploading, and archiving files as requested
Update and manage the department’s database of job completion status for drafting orders
Assist with monitoring and maintaining drafting specific office supplies, coordinating purchasing as needed
Assist with data entry and record keeping of trailer orders and drafting documentation
Communicate with group leaders and drafters to determine the status of jobs in progress
Assist with daily scanning, filing, and digital distribution of job packets to factories
Communicate with the Sales department to obtain missing information, clarify order details, or resolve discrepancies
Qualification
Required
Ability to take initiative, accept responsibility, work independently, as well as follow directions
Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
High school diploma or equivalent required
