Responsibilities
You will join a System Test team that is responsible for assured network performance and reliability for Government users
This includes test and validation of new features, satellite hardware hands on experience, test case development and execution, and more
You will work closely with other test engineers as well as Systems, Software, and Hardware engineers to ensure that high quality standards are met for both functionality and performance of these communications systems
This intern will be a valuable member of the team as they work on latest satellite terminal releases
This is essential work on bugs which significantly impact customer experience, especially Government customer
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
To be eligible for this position your final graduation date must fall between December 2026 and August 2027
You must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program as outlined in the cohort dates
This position requires U.S. citizenship
Course work, experience, or knowledge of Communication theory, Signals and Systems, and Computer Data Networks
Basic experience with navigating and working with Linux shell
Basic experience with Python and/or MATLAB
Preferred
Local candidates preferred with accommodations in Carlsbad, CA or Germantown, MD
Ability to work both autonomously and with a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Experience with basic bench test tools such as DMM, Oscilloscope, and power meter
