Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain various ad formats including non-interruptive formats, pause ads, interactive video ads (IVA), and sponsorship experiences, ensuring seamless integration with existing video streaming functionality
Build responsive, performant, and visually compelling user interfaces
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions for innovative ad experiences
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and Prime Video's coding standards
Optimize ad loading and caching strategies to minimize impact on video playback performance
Conduct thorough testing including unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests to ensure ad format reliability
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback into your own work
Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions for new ad products
Document technical specifications, implementation details, and best practices for the team
Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and resolve critical issues
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and infrastructure
Mentor junior developers and share knowledge through technical presentations and documentation
Support A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to validate new ad format effectiveness
Qualification
Required
2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred
1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
