DRMS Accounting Technician III.
The State of Colorado is dedicated to managing and conserving Colorado’s natural resources. They are seeking an Accounting Technician III to provide technical accounting support, including accounts payable and receivable functions, purchasing duties, and other related responsibilities within the Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety.

Responsibilities
Performs accounts payable functions for the DRMS. This includes auditing invoices and travel reimbursements submitted to ensure that fiscal rules, DNR accounting procedures and DRMS guidelines have been followed
Processes both electronic deposit and cash revenue received at the DRMS in a timely manner, as established by state fiscal rule, and DNR policies and guidelines
The position has the responsibilities for the roles as OneCard division liaison, cardholder and allocator for designated cardholders
The position assists DRMS staff with office and field supply, PPE equipment and other operating purchase needs such as training and conference registration that do not require encumbering funds
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of relevant experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, general account or duties closely related to the work
A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a closely related field of study
Colorado residency is required at the time of application
A current & valid Driver's license is required for operating a state vehicle and significant travel is anticipated
Must be willing and able to occasionally exert up to 20 lbs. of force to move objects
Preferred
Current or former State experience relevant to this position
The preferred candidate will have four (4) or more years experience related to the work assigned to the position
The preferred candidate will have excellent written, oral, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
Experience providing customer service and interfacing with a variety of people from many levels within an organization
Excellent organizational skills
The ability to multi-task
The ability to work well with a diverse population
