Responsibilities
Administer and support z/OS mainframe database environments including DB2, IMS DBDC, and ADABAS to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance
Manage and optimize database structures through partitioning, indexing, data sharing, and performance tuning techniques
Configure, monitor, and maintain replication processes using IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR) and related tools
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database, performance, and system‑level issues across multiple mainframe platforms
Oversee database backups, recovery workflows, and disaster recovery planning to maintain business continuity
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including infrastructure, application, and vendor partners, to support upgrades, changes, and ongoing operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field (or equivalent professional experience)
8+ years of hands‑on experience with z/OS mainframe database administration, including DB2, IMS DBDC, and/or ADABAS
Strong proficiency in IBM mainframe database technologies, including SQL tuning, DB2 partitioning/indexing, replication tools (IIDR), and JCL as required by the client
Proven ability to support high‑availability enterprise environments, including backup/recovery management, performance troubleshooting, and adherence to data security best practices
