Responsibilities
Performs a variety of tasks providing hands-on technical assistance related to the Infrastructure, Service Center, Project Management, Information Systems or Information Security functions of the City's Information Technology Department
Assists with various tracking and updating functions related to information security
Works extensively with Splunk SIEM, Qualys, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
Provides administrative assistance for information security program, projects and tasks
Gathers, documents, and updates information relating to information security plans, policies, and procedures
Assists with information security analysis and testing as needed
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Training and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to satisfactorily perform on the job
May be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college or university program with a major in Information Technology or a closely related field
Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or 'border state' driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every two years. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment
