CougarCard Center Program Assistant

Washington State University is seeking a CougarCard Center Program Assistant who will interact extensively with students, staff, and faculty to provide assistance regarding the CougarCard program. The role involves coordinating services, monitoring operations, and assisting in training student workers.

Responsibilities

Interact extensively with students, staff, faculty, parents, community members, and various WSU departments and campuses to provide accurate information and assistance regarding the CougarCard program
Coordinate services primarily at the service window
Monitor the operations of the University’s Point of Sale (POS) system
Receive and verify financial transactions
Confirm customer information
Coordinate the production of CougarCards, ID badges, and related credentials
Monitor, update, and enter information in CS Gold, Datacard, myWSU, QuickBooks, and other WSU record‑keeping systems
Assist in training temporary student workers on card production and customer service
Serve as a backup for annual service and special project billings
Help coordinate and present student information sessions during New Coug Orientation

Qualification

Clerical experienceAutomated ID systemsPoint of Sale (POS) systemMicrosoft OfficeCustomer serviceDiversity sensitivity

Required

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience
Demonstrated sensitivity to and experience in effectively working with diverse or multicultural student populations

Preferred

Eighteen (18) months of fiscally related work such as bank teller or retail sales clerk
Experience in automated ID systems, card technology, identification cards, OR equivalent education/experience
Experience using automated ID / access control systems or equivalent education/experience
Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
