Responsibilities

Assist the Resident Engineer through coordination and communication with various project stakeholders to ensure project and client success

Composure and diplomatic problem solving

Analyze applicable codes, standards, and specifications for compliance

Perform general field inspection of Road and Bridge Construction

Measure, calculate, and report installed quantities

Monitor materials sampling and testing schedules

Monitor and analyze progress of contractor’s work

Maintain various reports

Monitor and lead inspection team

Qualification

IDOT Documentation CertificationChicago DOT experienceRoadBridge ConstructionGPS knowledgeDiplomatic problem solvingComposureSense of humor

Required

8+ years' experience working with Chicago DOT, IDOT, Illinois Tollway, or comparable transportation agencies

Certifications including IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities
