Responsibilities
Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services. Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship
Preferred

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Test Cell Control Room Experience
Experience with WinXA, FTS, Console, APEX, IADS, Pressure Systems, electrical and/or instrumentation experience
Jet Engine Testing experience
Ability and willingness to work flexible and off-shift hours (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, nights, weekends, and holidays) when business needs dictate
Ability and willingness to travel to and support operations at offsite locations when business needs dictate
An active or current U.S. DOD Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs
Must be open, willing, and able to successfully to complete additional security screening as required
