Responsibilities
Own end-to-end engineering execution for iOS, from architecture and roadmap through delivery and reliability
Drive step-function performance improvements, targeting at least 50% reductions in app launch time, memory usage, and crash rates
Design and operate robust observability, metrics, and automated testing systems to ensure consistent performance at scale
Lead iOS execution rituals including daily and weekly standups, backlog ownership in Linear, and tight cross-functional coordination with Product, Design, and Backend teams
Translate product goals into clear dependencies, timelines, and deliverables to keep teams unblocked and shipping
Drive mobile EHR integration excellence, ensuring seamless integration with Epic Haiku, Epic HyperSpace, and other mobile EHR platforms
Qualification
Required
Founder-level ownership mindset. You operate like the business depends on your decisions and execution
Senior, hands-on iOS engineering ability. You actively design systems, write and review production Swift code, and set the technical bar by example
Deep iOS platform expertise. 7+ years of iOS development with Swift/SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern iOS architectures. Experience shipping consumer-grade iOS apps to the App Store at scale
Experience in high-intensity environments such as YC-backed startups, early-stage companies, or zero-to-one teams where speed and judgment matter
Mobile leadership experience. You've led iOS teams (3+ engineers) and own mobile engineering processes, release management, and cross-platform coordination
Comfort with ambiguity. You turn incomplete product direction into clear technical plans and ship without heavy process
Bias toward leverage and simplicity. You choose durable solutions and know when to optimize versus when to ship
