This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) while supporting IT service delivery through ITIL-aligned practices.

Responsibilities
Manage and execute enterprise configuration management processes aligned with ITIL best practices
Own and maintain CMDB data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with naming conventions and governance standards
Develop, maintain, and enforce CMDB policies, standards, and procedures within the ServiceNow platform
Perform regular configuration audits and identify unauthorized or untracked CI changes
Partner with ITSM leadership to improve ServiceNow processes, workflows, and performance
Enhance ServiceNow CMDB structure, CI relationships, and lifecycle management
Support change and asset management processes by ensuring configuration data accuracy and integrity
Identify and implement opportunities for automation and operational efficiency using ServiceNow capabilities
Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track CMDB health, KPIs, and critical success factors
Provide actionable insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making
Support compliance and audit readiness by ensuring configuration data aligns with regulatory and security requirements
Maintain visibility into IT infrastructure health and service dependencies
Work closely with infrastructure, application, security, and asset management teams to improve CMDB adoption and data quality
Drive continuous improvement of ITIL-based service management practices
Provide guidance and training to teams on CMDB standards and configuration best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
7+ years of Configuration Management / CMDB experience in enterprise environments
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules
Experience supporting change, asset, and configuration management processes
Strong analytical and data governance skills
Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data insights within ServiceNow
Preferred
Asset Management experience within ServiceNow or enterprise tools
ITIL Foundation Certification (strongly preferred)
ITIL Intermediate (OSA or Service Operation) certification preferred
Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
Experience driving automation and CMDB maturity initiatives
