InternAustin Brockenbrough & Associates, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support their mechanical engineering team. This role involves assisting with the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for building projects while gaining exposure to industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities
Assist in preparing mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations
Support system load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis
Conduct research on codes, standards, and sustainability practices
Participate in site visits and inspections as assigned
Collaborate with engineers and designers on integrated building systems
Perform all other duties as assigned
Work collaboratively and effectively with clients and colleagues including cross-functional teams, peers, direct reports, and leadership, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
Adapt to changing business needs and priorities, demonstrating flexibility in taking on new responsibilities and adjusting to evolving challenges
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical Engineering or related program
Completion of coursework in HVAC, thermodynamics, or building systems
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
Preferred
Previous internship or co-op experience in mechanical design
Familiarity with energy modeling software
Involvement in ASHRAE or similar professional/student organizations
