System Test Engineer

Responsibilities

The System Test Team conducts the planning and analysis of all Missile Defense System ground tests and flight tests in which the program is a participant
Ground test types include: Pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Test (GTI), Distributed Ground Test (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and pre-flight test HWIL efforts
Flight tests are conducted with pre-determined sensors and shooters
International events are comprised of various ground tests and flight tests
The System Test Engineer is responsible for the planning of all assigned test events, with emphasis on developing and implementing the test artifacts required for each event: Test objectives, Architectures, Data Item Descriptions, Defense Designs, Sensor Resource Management (SRM) settings, Operational Tasking Data Link (OPTASKLINK), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) configuration and Forwarding Tables, CDS, TDACS, TRAUT TDACS, Comms Connectivity Matrices, Event Configuration Baseline (ECB), System Adjustable Parameters (SAPs)/Site-Specific Parameters (SSPs), BDR and PR applicability, Certification Data Packages
The position also provides the following support: Support planning phase reviews and meetings, Support customer boards and meetings, Support Data Management, Interface with developers, Support government personnel during event execution phases when requested, Support anomaly resolution and troubleshooting, Support analysis group, Support Failure Review Boards (FRBs)

Required

Active Secret clearance
Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent
Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field
Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions
Works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
Frequent internal and external customer contacts
Technical knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks
Prior integration and test experience
Primarily Linux/RHEL systems
US Citizenship is required
