Responsibilities
Working as part of a cross-functional development team to implement, test, debug, and peer-review code for the console of a nuclear medicine imaging system
Writing and reviewing technical documentation to support software development and system integration
Designing, implementing, and executing unit and integration software tests to ensure system reliability and performance
Interfacing with internal partners (test engineering, systems engineering, product management, etc.) and external partners, including global teams in Germany and India
Adhering to established software quality processes and development standards
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
5-10 years of professional development experience (ideally using C#, .NET, WCF, WPF, etc. on Windows platforms)
Excellent understanding of software engineering practices, object-oriented design, and architecture principles
Good working knowledge of multi-threaded application development is a plus
Strong hands-on experience with C++ or C#
Solid understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented principles, and system architecture
Effective communication skills and comfort collaborating across engineering disciplines and geographies
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
Professional approach to challenges and capability of constructively resolving technical or team-based issues
Strong commitment to quality, reliability, and customer impact, particularly in safety-critical systems
