Sales Application Engineer
Seco Precision develops advanced machine control solutions for the heavy civil construction industry, and they are seeking a Sales Application Engineer. This role involves supporting system installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of machine control systems while providing training and support to dealers and distributors.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong technical expertise among Unicontrol distributors and dealers to support the sale, installation, and long-term success of Unicontrol machine control solutions
Actively participate in ride-alongs with sales representatives and distributors to promote Unicontrol products, support product demonstrations, and engage directly with end users at job sites
Join customer meetings and sales calls as a technical resource to support solution positioning, address technical questions, and reinforce product value during the sales process
Provide in-field support for system installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of customer-owned machine control systems
Develop and deliver technical training for dealer and distributor technicians, including curriculum, documentation, and hands-on training sessions focused on 2D and 3D machine control solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation, guides, and troubleshooting materials to support dealers, technicians, and internal teams
Collaborate closely with the Product Development team by collecting and communicating structured feedback from customers, distributors, and field experiences to support continuous product improvement
Serve as a technical liaison between U.S.-based sales, distributors, and Unicontrol’s global Customer Success and Product teams to ensure consistent messaging, support, and product knowledge
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% domestically and up to 5% internationally; must possess a valid U.S. passport
Practical understanding of civil construction job sites, workflows, and equipment
Working knowledge of machine control systems, GNSS positioning technologies, and their application in heavy civil construction
Minimum of 5 years of field experience as a technician, applications specialist, or in a technical sales or customer success role within construction technology
Associate's degree (AS/AA) or equivalent technical education
Self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable working independently in a remote, field-based role
Preferred
Familiarity with 3D modeling, takeoff, or design software such as AgTek, Trimble Business Center, Autodesk, SketchUp, or Civil 3D
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Geodesy, GIS, Agriculture, or a related technical field
Experience using surveying or positioning equipment, including GNSS receivers and total stations
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
