Responsibilities
Validate that coding reflects necessity of services
Use extensive knowledge disease processes and medications to analyst documentation and identify gaps
Ensure appropriate modifications to documentation by collaborating with physicians, case management and nursing
Serve as an educator and resource for physicians and staff to improve completeness and quality of patient documentation
Qualification
Required
Experience with risk adjustment tools such as HCC's, SOI/ROM, Flixhauser or Vizient
CDIP or CCDS with a minimum of 3 years of CDI production experience
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Registered Health Information Administrator or BSN(Bachelor of Science-Nursing)
Skilled in Analytical thinking and problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
