Responsibilities
Responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining software and programs for managing Information Technology assets
Identify and manage processes for tracking, updating, quality assurance, and reporting from IT asset records and databases
Responsible for configuring and supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure, enterprise application installation, configuration, design, and troubleshooting
Consult with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinate and operate maintenance activities for workstations, identify recurring issues, and recommend steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems
Demonstrates technical expertise through maintaining primary technical programming skills for the assigned job, developing new skills as needed, developing guidelines and standards, and establishing best practices
Manage and maintain area systems that include inventory, licensing, patching, deployment, and reporting
Creates plans for the transition of development and production environments to new technologies, utilizes system software to monitor the performance of system files, manages system data to maintain performance efficiencies, and studies system requirements to determine proper installation methods and procedures
Provide data analysis and reporting on various processes, including update compliance, computer hardware, mobile hardware, software utilization, and other areas as needed
Responsible for managing software availability to support groups and customers
Deploy and configure AVD host pools, session hosts, and scaling plans
Manage FSLogix profiles and optimize image deployment
Monitor performance and troubleshoot AVD-related issues
Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards
Provide Tier 2/3 support for AVD incidents and document resolutions
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop administration
Minimum 3 years of System Level test experience with FSLogix, image management, and performance tuning
Preferred
Microsoft Intune experience for device compliance, application deployment, and policy management
Knowledge of hybrid environments integrating AVD with Intune for endpoint management
Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)
Microsoft AZ-140 (Configuring and Operating AVD)
Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity management, and security
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
