Lead Security Systems Service Technician

Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Active Certification in Access Control systems: Lenel, CCURE 9000, Genetec or related
Active Certification in Video Surveillance Systems: Milestone, Genetec, Exacq Vision or related
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission and factors that impact video rates and quality, and basic switch, router, and firewall principles
Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
7+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
