Responsibilities
Contribute to ongoing research in the lab
Responsible for lab management, including updating and maintaining IACUC protocols, ordering lab supplies, and coordinating safety and regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in a science-related field; or
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or
Associate's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices
Preferred
Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
Time management skills and competence in multi-tasking
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an active member of an integrated team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated excellence in two or more of the following techniques: flow cytometry, cloning, immunoblotting, T cell isolation/purification, mammalian cell culture, PCR, metabolic assays, bioinformatics
Experience generating, analyzing, and presenting data for publications and/or grant applications
Prior experience working with mouse models of disease would be an asset
Prior experience with mass spectrometry-based metabolomics and/or lipidomics analyses would be an asset
