10+ years expSIRITECH SOLUTIONS CORP is seeking a Senior Database Administrator responsible for the design, administration, optimization, and reliability of enterprise database environments. The role ensures database performance, availability, security, and recovery standards are met while supporting complex application and data architectures.
Information Services
Responsibilities
Perform daily database administration and operational support
Design, implement, and maintain database structures and schemas
Monitor, analyze, and tune database performance across platforms
Support database upgrades, recovery, and disaster-recovery readiness
Conduct SQL code reviews and enforce database standards
Develop and maintain DBA procedures and technical documentation
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to staff
Support database and infrastructure initiatives as required
Qualification
Required
10+ years of enterprise database administration experience
Hands-on expertise with DB2 for z/OS
Hands-on expertise with Oracle (10g and above)
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012 and above)
Hands-on expertise with GIS database environments
Advanced DB2 for z/OS administration, performance tuning, upgrades, catalog maintenance, and recovery
Strong expertise in z/OS platform, JCL, ISPF, and mainframe scheduling tools
Experience with DB2 monitoring tools and z/OS performance analysis utilities
Solid knowledge of RACF, CICS, IOF, and disaster recovery planning
Proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server integration, tuning, and administration
Working knowledge of COBOL, Windows Server, SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS
Exposure to Azure and enterprise infrastructure change management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative and team-oriented approach
Adaptability to changing technologies and environments
Demonstrated technical leadership and quality-driven mindset
