Responsibilities
Work with cutting edge timing devices to validate functionality of digital logic and analog circuitry
Create Python automation tests for timing devices to catch corner cases, bugs, or stress test devices
Work with various pieces of lab equipment (Phase Noise Analyzers, Frequency Counters, Frequency Generators, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers) to debug and analyze device functionality and performance
Work with design and software teams to debug devices and determine improvements for silicon and device drivers
Build on existing driver software to communicate with and manipulate internal digital logic
Analyzing and preparing detailed analysis summaries by processing generated data tables with tools like JMP and Excel
Preparing and reviewing documentation
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled full time in a university degree program pursuing a bachelor or master degree
Must not have graduated before September 2026
Working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or similar degree
Python programming experience or programming concept knowledge a must
Ability to problem solve and seek knowledge when presented with unknown concepts
Preferred
Some knowledge of analog and DC circuit design and the ability to read schematics
Knowledge of lab equipment; power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc
Knowledge of serial communications; SPI, I2C, SMBus, etc
