Summer 2026 DNC Technology Internship
The Democratic National Committee is hiring for its Summer 2026 Technology Internship Program, providing a unique opportunity for future leaders to gain hands-on experience in Democratic political technology. Interns will work on projects that support the Tech team while developing skills in data analytics, software engineering, and more.

Responsibilities
Work on a project or projects designed to support the work of the overall Tech team and your own skills and experience
Build your skills as a technology professional, in data analytics, engineering, or data science; software engineering; product; or supporting users of data and technology products, information technology, or security
Participate in team meetings and work closely with mentor(s)
Assist the DNC Operations team by attending weekly phone shifts and any mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions
Participate in grassroots organizing
Assist at DNC functions
Receive personal development training
Network with DNC leadership and staff
Qualification
Required
Must be located in the United States to apply for this internship
Commitment of 20 hours per week during the program
Physically present in the United States to participate in this internship program

Preferred
Previous experience in politics, e.g. using Votebuilder, or volunteering for a Democratic campaign
Completed at least a semester, ideally two semesters, of computer programming-related courses, OR have equivalent experience
Familiarity with programming or spreadsheet software including Excel or Google Sheets
At least an entry-level skill-set in using MacBooks and Google Suite applications
Passion for technology and learning new things
Jamf administration experience: Policy Configuration, Patching
Network administration experience: Networking fundamentals, Firewalls and switch administration
Completed at least a semester of computer information systems or equivalent courses in any of the following areas: computer engineering, networking, AI and machine learning, and operating systems
General understanding of Google Suite / Workspace and Apple products
Ability to be hands-on and lift up to 25lbs
